TD Aengus O'Snodaigh's missing teenage son found 'safe and well'
A SON of Sinn Fein TD Aengus O'Snodaigh has been found safe and well, gardai said tonight.
"Lorcan has been found safe and well, no further action required," gardai said in a short statement.
"Thank you for your assistance."
The 16-year-old had been missing from his home since the early hours of Sunday morning.
“If anyone sees Lorcan, let me know. He is probably still around Dublin,” the Dublin South-Central TD wrote on his Facebook page earlier today alongside a photo of his son.
Lorcan’s older brother Fearghal (18) was stabbed on Sunday during an incident at his home.
The victim received stab wounds to his upper arm and chest, but managed to alert the emergency services using his mobile phone.
Speaking the day after the incident, Deputy Ó Snodaigh said; “I want to thank all those who have sent messages of support to me and my family since news of this incident broke yesterday.
“Fearghal is recovering well in hospital and we look forward to having him home again soon.”
Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams said he wished the O’Snodaigh family well.
"This is a shocking time for the family. We wish young Fearghal well and we wish the family well," he said.
"People who don't share our politics will be at one with us when we say that everybody hopes the young fella pulls through and gets better as quickly as possible," he added.
