Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was at the Ireland v Argentina game - and some people weren't happy
It appears there's no rest for a Taoiseach as Twitter users hit out at Leo Varadkar for attending the Ireland v Argentina game this evening.
The Fine Gael politician met with Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin earlier today in an attempt to prevent a Christmas election as the latest Garda whistleblower scandal threatens to collapse the Government.
However, some people thought Mr Varadkar wasn't entitled to be spending his Saturday evening at the rugby.
The camera cut to the Fine Gael leader in the crowd and his presence at the game generated a mixed a reaction.
"Good to see Leo has time to enjoy a sucky sweet at the rugby while the government falls apart," one Twitter user wrote.
While another sarcastic user said: "It's good to know the country is in such a good place that Leo Varadkar is at the rugby".
Perhaps Mr Varadkar is trying to make the most of his free time while he can, as his Christmas could be spent canvassing.
Why does the cabinet choose times of political crises to put their feet up and relax, train strike and the minister for transport is watching Manchester United and now on the verge of a general election leo varadkar was at the rugby, we know where their priorities are anyways— Arón Ó Ruairc (@AronORuairc) November 25, 2017

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Leo went to the rugby while the country went down the toilet.— Ash (@fe2fe) November 25, 2017
