Miriam O'Callaghan was the lady in red for the launch of the LauraLynn Heroes Ball at the Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge.
The 'Prime Time' presenter took time out from her busy schedule to help launch the annual fundraiser, which takes place on May 6.
All funds raised from the black-tie ball will go towards LauraLynn, which provides a huge range of services to children with life-limiting conditions.
The mum-of-eight revealed how she found it very hard to turn down requests from certain charities, particularly those involved with children.
"I think in my life, I should give back and some people say 'choose one charity' and then they feel they tick that box. I'm not that kind of person," she said.
"There's 24 hours in a day. I've loads of time and I'm blessed with healthy children so it's the least I can do and I can't choose between them.
"It's like choosing who's your favourite child, who's your favourite charity? I'm not going to do that."
The busy presenter also confirmed that she will return with her Saturday night chat show this summer, for what will be its 12th season.
