Suits you, sir -- and hundreds of others
A CHARITY is teaming up with the Wexford Festival Opera to offer cut-price dress suits for those attending the renowned event.
Children's charity Barnardos is selling off 400 new dress suits for a steal at about €65. The money raised will be used by Barnardos to help struggling children and families.
The initiative was launched yesterday by Lyric FM broadcaster Marty Whelan to coincide with the opening of general booking for the festival.
The festival will run from October 24 to November 4.
It will include three mainstage opera productions: 'L'Arlesiana', by Francesco Cilea; 'Le Roi Malgre Lui', by Emmanuel Chabrier; and 'A Village Romeo and Juliet', by Frederick Delius.
There will also be two daytime operas -- 'A Dinner Engagement', by Lennox Berkeley and 'The Magic Flute', by Mozart.
