Students to impeach president
Students at University College, Dublin, have voted to impeach the president of their students' union following a debacle over information on abortion.
The count last night showed a clear majority of 70pc to impeach Katie Ascough, a pro-life supporter.
Calls to impeach her came after she withdrew information on abortion services from a student magazine, despite the information being previously available in UCD. Re-printing cost the union €8,000.
She said legal advice stated the information was illegal.
