Bread stocks are toast before they even hit the shop shelves
The Irish love affair with bread knows no bounds - particularly when there is a snowstorm approaching.
Security camera footage, believed to have been taken in a south Dublin Centra, showed a crowd of shoppers descend on a delivery of bread as a worker attempted to wheel the laden trolley to the shelves.
However he had only taken a few steps inside the shop before the horde of hungry customers began taking two or three loaves each.
The footage, which has since gone viral, was taken shortly before 11am yesterday. Shops have seen their shelves cleared of bread in record time since Monday as people bulk-bought ahead of Storm Emma.
