Beaumont Hospital cancels all out-patient appointments on Thursday and Friday

The arrival of Storm Emma has forced Beaumont Hospital to cancel all out-patient appointments tomorrow.

The hospital said it is taking the measure in the interest of public safety.

All out patient appointments for Thursday and Friday have been cancelled.

This coincides with the red alert currently in place for counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.

The Government has urged people to stay indoors where possible between the hours of 4pm on Thursday and noon on Friday.

Beaumont Hospital has advised that inpatient and day case are being reviewed on a case by case basis and patients will be contacted accordingly.

Dialysis patients are being reviewed and scheduled accordingly on a daily basis.

The hospital has advised for any inconvenience caused and said all cancelled appointments will be rescheduled.

The HSE Severe Weather Plan is in place and the HSE has stressed that at a local and national level their services are being impacted due to the severity of the weather conditions.
