'Staycations' for ministers

MOST government ministers will be staying close to home this summer as they lead by example with their "staycations".

Kerry and the west of Ireland will be awash with off-duty ministers as they flock to these holiday favourites.

Just two cabinet members -- Environment Minister Phil Hogan and Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney -- admitted they would be jetting off for some guaranteed sun.

But both will also be taking holidays at home. There was no response to the survey from Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
