Stage is set for next generation of Riverdancers
The next generation of Irish dancing superstars are flocking to the Riverdance summer school at Dublin's Lir Academy.
Students are put through their paces by dance professionals for a week, before staging a final showcase for family and friends in the Gaiety Theatre.
A total of 185 dancers, ranging in age from 12 to 30, have enrolled in the school this year.
Associate director of Riverdance Paraic Moyles said being able to perform on stage at the Gaiety was an added draw for many.
"There's great hype around that. We use all the lights and sound and music so they get an unbelievable experience," Mr Moyles said.
The school's final class of the year ends tomorrow, with the classes returning again next summer in July.
