Staff left shaken after man armed with syringe robs Dublin filling station

Gardaí are investigating a robbery at a Dublin filling station in which a man armed with a syringe threatened staff.

The incident happened at the Maxol station on Mespil Road in Donnybrook at 1pm yesterday.

The lone male entered the station and showed the syringe before demanding cash.

While there were no reports of any injuries the staff were said to be shaken by the robbery.

The culprit escaped with a sum of cash.

Gardaí are examining CCTV footage of the robbery and are following a definite line of inquiry.
