South inner Dublin is worst for thefts
A STATION-BY-STATION breakdown of theft offences for the first six months of the year shows Pearse Street, covering part of Dublin's south inner city, at the top of the table with 3,185. Store Street (north inner city) is next with 2,281; Blanchardstown in west Dublin is third with 1,121; Dundrum in south Dublin is fourth with 713; Henry Street, Limerick, is fifth with 668, and Tallaght, south Dublin, is sixth with 641 offences.
Pearse Street is also at the top for public-order offences, with 886, followed by Galway (621), Store Street (604), Henry Street (438), Anglesea Street in Cork (436) and Kilkenny (366).
For burglaries, Tallaght comes first with 429, followed by Waterford (307), then Pearse Street (288), Blanchardstown (267) and Clondalkin (220).
Store Street recorded the most drug offences for the first six months with 262, followed by Finglas (222), Coolock (207), Blanchardstown (205), Ronanstown (190) and Bray (172).
