Smitten by this kitten? Then foster a feline
THIS irresistible ball of fluff is looking for a new home – and hoping you might step up to the plate.
It's kitten season at the moment and one charity's shelter is full to capacity.
Adorable Cha Cha, pictured above, is just one of dozens of moggies at the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) cattery.
"We're inundated. What's happening is the first litter of the season have already found homes. The second litter of the year is now starting to pile up, and shelters like the DSPCA are becoming full," said Gillian Bird, DSPCA head of education and media.
Kitten season usually begins in spring, peaks early summer and runs right through to October. The DSPCA will provide everything needed to foster a kitten, including food and litter. There is usually a three- to four-week commitment required.
Animals that are being adopted from the cattery in Rathfarnham, Co Dublin are vaccinated, deflead, micro-chipped and neutered.
