Sister makes new appeal for man missing 10 years

THE sister of a tennis coach who disappeared 10 years ago this week has issued an emotional appeal for him to let his family know he is safe and well.

Pearse Cremin disappeared on October 31, 2000.

A week after he vanished, the then 28-year-old was spotted filling up his car at a service station in Cork. A person fitting Mr Cremin's description also called to a guesthouse in MacCurtain Street, Cork, on Christmas Eve 2002. He was looking for a room but the guesthouse was full.

His sister Siobhan says it is heartbreaking to face into a double-digit anniversary. "So much has happened that Pearse has missed out on. There are two nieces he has never met and his godchild, who is also his nephew, has made his confirmation," she said.

Mr Cremin, from Glasheen Road in Cork City, is described as 5ft 8in, of slim build, with short red/blond hair. Anybody with information can contact Barrack Street garda station in Cork on 021-4316020.
