Singing stars make a big splash
THE sun was shining outside, but inside the Bord Gais Theatre the umbrellas were out in force.
West End hit 'Singin in the Rain' opened last night with its signature scene involving 12,000 litres of recycled water pouring onto the cast.
Based on the 1952 film starring Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds, the show stars ex-'Coronation Street' actress Vicky Binns and includes the song 'Good Morning'.
'Love/Hate' star Aoibhinn McGinnity, TV3 weatherman Martin King, Norah Casey and 2FM host Lottie Ryan attended the opening night of the show which runs till May 31.
