Singers jet in to get global choir off ground
VISITORS from all the over the world have come together to perform a world premiere concert, after just seven days' rehearsal.
As part of World Choral Fest 2013, 100 singers hailing from Canada, the US and Ireland have gathered in Dublin and will learn, rehearse and perform a concert in the National Concert Hall in just seven days.
The choir will perform the world premiere of 'Cantate Canticum Novum', a new work by composer Dan Forrest and lyricist Anthony Charles Silvestri in the concert hall on Sunday, July 28, at 8pm.
Amongst others, they will perform 'Adieu sweet Amaryllis' by John Wilbye and 'Incantations' by Irish composer Michael McGlynn'.
