MUCH fanfare from Fine Gael yesterday about an important intervention into the treaty debate by its director of elections Simon Coveney.
FG staffers briefed that Simon would say something of note, maybe even on the contentious issue of the treaty debates, with Enda Kenny still running away from anything even resembling a TV studio.
Then Simon duly appeared and said . . . not much at all, ensuring much less attention will be paid to his treaty utterances from now on.
