'Seriously, how small is Michael D?' - Twitter reacts to photo of Leo Varadkar 'looking gigantic' next to the President

As Galway defeated Waterford yesterday becoming the All Ireland Hurling Champions, President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar soon became the talking point on social media

Twitter users were astonished by the height difference between the pair as the two were seated together for the match.

People were in disbelief as Michael D Higgins appeared to be half the size of Leo Varadkar.

The President is recorded as being 5'3 while Taoiseach Varadkar is 6'4.
