Serious blaze guts restaurant in Temple Bar

AN Indian restaurant has been gutted in a fire.

Six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade fought the blaze at Afsana restaurant in Temple Bar for two hours, before it was brought under control.

It is believed the fire started in the kitchen at about 5am yesterday. The Dublin Fire Brigade described it as "serious", saying it was controlled just after 7am.

"Six units went to the scene, and the fire broke out in the kitchen of a restaurant," a spokeswoman said. "It was serious, and there was four teams with breathing apparatus. No one was injured."
