Second man held in probe into father-of-three's murder

A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a father of three, writes Edel Kennedy.

Stephen O'Meara (26) went missing last August and his body was found in a shallow grave on Christmas Eve.

He vanished on August 6 after telling his partner that he was going to meet someone.

His body was found in Ballydonnell, near Red Cross, in Co Wicklow. However, he was not formally identified until St Stephen's Day.

Michael Dickinson (24), of no fixed abode, was charged with Mr O'Meara's murder two days later.

Yesterday, gardai arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the inquiry and he is being held at Wicklow garda station.
