Search resumes for angler missing off Kerry coast

A search has resumed this morning for a man in his 40s off the coast of Kerry.

The man, believed to be Asian, entered the water off Kerry Head at 3.55pm on Friday. He had been angling at the time, and it is understood he was swept into the water.

Glenderry Coast Guard was sent to respond to the incident, and a a helicopter and lifeboat were also deployed to find the man.

The naval vessel, LE Orla, has also joined the search.

The operation continued until nightfall without success, and resumed at first light this morning
