Seanie Fitzpatrick enjoys day out at wedding
SEAN FitzPatrick was decked out in a tuxedo for a lavish wedding just 24 hours after he faced fresh charges in relation to his time as boss of Anglo Irish Bank.
Mr FitzPatrick was looking dapper as he attended the swanky wedding in Blackrock, Co Louth. The previous day, he was arrested by appointment and appeared before Judge Michael Walsh at Dublin District Court.
The bankrupt banker was released on bail and was able to attend the wedding in the Church of St Oliver Plunkett on Saturday.
He didn't stick around to chat with other guests after the ceremony, driving to Cabra Castle in Kingscourt, Co Cavan, for the reception.
The black-tie affair was a far cry from Dublin's Bridewell garda station where he was formally charged with 12 counts of giving false, misleading or deceptive statements to Anglo's auditors Ernst and Young.
Dublin District Court was told that Mr Fitzpatrick replied "no comment" when the 12 new charges were read to him. The case was adjourned to March 1.
