Science for Life: questions welcome

The 'Science for Life' supplement, published by the Irish Independent last week in association with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), has attracted a great response.

It featured a number of topics illustrating the relevance of science to everyday life and invited questions from the public. These will be answered in a second supplement on Tuesday, May 1.

Questions, to which an answer lies in science, technology, engineering or maths, are welcome from all quarters, including schools, individuals, sports teams and clubs.

The answers will be provided by experts from Irish universities and institutes of technology who, in some cases, will deliver the response in person.

Due to a technical problem, some questions already submitted may not have reached the email address.

Anyone who has experienced any difficulty in submitting their question should send it again to science forlife@independent.ie
