Saddle-sore Kenny signs up for another 180km trek in Kingdom
BARELY off the saddle after a gruelling nine-hour trek, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has already committed to completing the Ring of Kerry charity cycle again next year.
Mr Kenny (61) was all smiles when he crossed the finish line of the 180km challenge on Saturday, flanked by his son, Ferdia.
Arts Minister Jimmy Deenihan (59) and Minister of State for Training and Skills Ciaran Cannon (46) also completed the race.
Asked if his team found it difficult to keep up, Mr Kenny joked: "I had an awful job with them. No, we all kept going."
The charity event, now in its 29th year, has raised more than €4.5m for local charities.
