Ryanair worker admits he likely shouted at boss

A FORMER Ryanair engineer who claims he was unfairly dismissed from his job admitted he was probably shouting and being aggressive when he confronted his boss over a refusal to grant him annual leave.

William Graham (62), from Rush, Co Dublin, told an Employment Appeals Tribunal: "I didn't go overboard, I used a few Fs."

He said he would have liked to apologise to his manager, Gavin Malone, following the outburst on July 29, 2010, however he had "other priorities" while he was at work.

Just over two weeks later, Mr Graham, who worked for the airline at Dublin Airport, was dismissed for gross misconduct arising from three breaches of company policy.

The tribunal is to consider the evidence before issuing a decision on the case.
