Round of a-paws as dogs help not-so-lucky pups

ARCHIE the King Charles spaniel led a procession at a dog walk with a difference yesterday. Dozens of proud owners brought their pets for a walk at the Irish Blue Cross Bark in the Park.

The stroll in Tymon Park, Tallaght, Dublin, was organised to help raise funds for needy animals. A range of breeds dodged the rain to contribute towards a €90,000 target, to pay for a new charity premises in Inchicore.

The Irish Blue Cross helps provide treatment for thousands of animals whose owners require financial assistance.
