Death-defying cliff divers entertained crowds in Dún Laoghaire with jaw-dropping displays against majestic backdrops.

Twenty four cliff divers took flight for just three seconds at speeds of up to 85kmh in front of thousands at Dún Laoghaire pier.

The event took place as part of the 2019 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series with daring athletes jumping into the crystal blue harbour from a 27m diving platform fitted to Carlisle Pier.

This was the first time the event was hosted in the capital, following three events at Inis Mór on the Aran Islands - and Dún Laoghaire certainly didn't disappoint.
