Retired Longford man(69) takes up photography just in time for 'Super Blood Moon'
Lalin Swaris(69) used his new-found photography skills to photograph the 'Super Blood Moon' phenomenon.
Swaris' daughter Pauline sent in the pics, writing that he would be "over the moon" if we posted them.
His wife Deborah told Independent.ie that Lalin took up photography as a hobby after he "saw a poster for classes". "He's retired so he has the time!"
She said he's fallen deeply in love with his new hobby.
"He eats, sleeps and breathes photography now!"
"People should take up hobbies in retirement years... especially if they've a health problem, they get lots of exercise".
"He has a heart condition... it's great for him... I'm glad he's got a hobby".
Lalin sacrificed sleep Sunday night to get the perfect shot of the 'Super Blood Moon'.
"He slept for an hour then he was up for the rest of the night!"
Deborah and Lalin have been married forty years and share four children and ten grandchildren.
Deborah says that none of the grandchildren have taken up Lalin's hobby yet.
"The eldest is only 14... she's not into it yet, but that's not to say she won't be!".
