Reilly hints at HSE service plan extension
Q HEALTH Minister Dr James Reilly has hinted the HSE will need another extension to finish its controversial service plan for next year.
The plan will set out where the €666m cuts in the health budget will be implemented. The HSE has already received a 10-day extension in finalising the plan, which is due to run out next week. Dr Reilly said the HSE may need more time and he will consider such a request if it is made. The minister said there were enormous challenges in producing the plan.
