Hailo have announced via social media that they will be offering free trips to the polling stations for people wishing to cast their vote on May 22nd.

The taxi company announced the new campaign, named #DriveForEquality, via their Facebook and Twitter pages.

The announcement video features the lights of Hauilo taxis "lighting up Dublin for equality".

Writing on their Facebook age, the company announced: "We are offering our customers a free trip to their local polling booth between 11am and 4pm on May 22nd when using the new Hailo Prebook feature".

Users wishing to avail of the feature can sign up to the prebook application on hailo.ie. Hailo will then "be in touch" on Thursday after 11am to confirm that credit has been applied to the user's account. The user can then prebook the taxi for anytime between 11am and 4pm on Friday.

The first 1,000 entrants will receive €15 worth of pre-paid credit. Trips above €15 will need to be compensated for by the customer.
