Raid uncovers gun and cosmetics

THREE WOMEN were arrested during a search of a house where a sawn-off shotgun and a large amount of cosmetics were seized.

As part of an ongoing investigation, gardai searched the house in the Dunsink area of west Dublin yesterday evening. A woman in her 40s and two women in their 20s were arrested at the scene.

Dangerous driving to blame for death

A 24-YEAR-OLD man pleaded guilty at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court yesterday to the dangerous driving that caused the death of a student.

Paddy Cash, of Hollyfort Road, Gorey, Co Wexford, admitted to dangerous driving on October 24, 2010, causing the death of Kelly Gregan. Sentencing was adjourned until January.

Tributes paid to music school boss

Warm tributes were paid yesterday to the driving force behind the Willie Clancy Summer School, Muiris O Rochain, who has died.

Along with Martin Talty and Breandan Breathnach, Mr O Rochain (67) established the school in 1972.
