Raging bull and a mislaid boat delay motorists

FROM a raging bull to angry swans and a mislaid motorboat, staff at AA Roadwatch have been alerted to a host of unusual problems on the country's roads over the past year.

Motorists were warned about numerous animal interlopers such as foxes, deer, horses, goats, sheep, cows, swans, ducks, and even a bull.

There were also a range of obstructions such as a sofa, mattress, oven, portaloo, and even a Silver Cruise motorboat which was found on the N11 in Wexford.

Other problems for motorists included no less than 25 large-scale protest marches, mud slides, rockfalls and trucks becoming wedged under bridges.

"More often than you would think, something unusual will come along," said AA Roadwatch spokeswoman Rebecca Horan.
