Quality summer sizzlers at a price you can afford

Experiencing four seasons in a day did little to thwart the resolve of the hardy models showcasing Tesco's F&F high summer range on the banks of Dublin's Grand Canal.

Stepping out in sorbet colours and cheerful American prints, they smiled through the chilly weather in an array of fit and flare dresses, priced €17-€29, and €22 pink heels, patent slingbacks and €18 wedge sandals.

And when the sun appeared briefly, they posed in colourful bikinis and one-piece swimsuits.

One thing is striking about the new F&F collection and that's the quality of key pieces, in particular a €29 yellow-and-white dress, pictured right.

The textured, damask-like fabric is sleek and has a luxurious silk-feel.

Anyone planning a beach holiday should check out the €12 blue and white sundress and the white, chiffon-look maxi with narrow gold belt (€27).

A 'starter' work suit red jersey with mini skirt gives the fashion conscious employee a chance to impress. The most expensive pieces are the limited edition leopard print dress (€33) and a matching biker jacket for €41.

Its F&F range, formerly known as Florence & Fred, is now available in 70 branches of its 142 outlets in Ireland.
