Probe after mum (42) dies in stairs tumble
A MIDDLE aged mother has died after falling down a flight of stairs.
Theresa 'Tess' Daly (42) -- a former Simon Community resident -- tumbled down stairs in the apartment complex she had only recently moved into.
Ms Daly was discovered dead at the bottom of stairs in her Clifton Terrace apartment, off Summerhill in Cork city shortly after 9.30pm on Wednesday.
The scene was cordoned off and gardai immediately alerted the State Pathologist's Office.
A post mortem was finished last night and the results indicated there was no foul play involved in Ms Daly's death.
Gardai believe up to six people -- including Ms Daly - were socialising in the complex.
It is understood Ms Daly was one of a number of people who had been drinking on Lower Glanmire Road on Tuesday before they were asked to move on by gardai
