Presenters brew up a storm in RTE corridors
IT'S not often you see RTE weather presenter Evelyn Cusack lip-synching to rock band The Stunning's 'Brewing Up A Storm'.
More than 500 people, including many well-known broadcasters, took part in a mock music video shot in one continuous take around the broadcaster's Donnybrook studios in Dublin to mark a week-long celebration of music.
Veteran DJ Larry Gogan can be spotted paying homage to a costumed Elvis -- aka GAA guru Marty Morrissey -- who is then escorted by weather presenter Jean Byrne in a dominatrix-style leather dress through the corridors.
Broadcaster Joe Duffy has abandoned the 'Talk to Joe' hot seat to strum a guitar; while 'Late Late Show' host Ryan Tubridy wears pink-hued John Lennon shades and a fetching glowing white suit.
'News at One' presenter Sean O'Rourke is also to be spotted bopping as they recreate the cover from The Beatles' 'Abbey Road'.
Both of The Stunning's Galway-born Wall brothers -- Steve and Joe -- also make a tongue-in-cheek appearances in the video, to
mark RTE's 'Big Music
Week', running from
October 15 to 21. The video, available to view on www.rte.ie/bigmusicweek, is already gathering a following and it will be aired on television during the week.
As part of the week-long music celebration, there will be live concerts featuring Jack L and Jerry Fish and music from around the globe will also be showcased.
