Pregnant woman among two people shot in west Dublin gun attack

TWO people have been rushed to hospital this evening after a shooting in Clondalkin in west Dublin.

The incident occurred shortly after 9pm at Grange View Lawns.

Dublin Fire Brigade said the two people were being treated at the scene. A spokesperson said the woman, who is pregnant, was shot in the arm.

The man is believed to have been shot in the stomach.

The two people are receiving treatment at the scene.

Two ambulances, a fire brigade and the Gardaí are at the scene.

A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade said the two gun victims have now been taken to Tallaght Hospital.

He said some minor treatment took place at the scene of the shooting but CPR was not required. The two were conscious and breathing when emergency services arrived on the scene.

The hospital had been put on stand by and the injured man and woman are there now.
