Posters target TDs in their constituencies
GOVERNMENT TDs have being personally targeted by anti-abortion campaigners who are putting up posters outside their homes, offices and even local churches.
Some of the groups are also sending out texts to constituents asking them to lobby their local TDs into opposing including suicide as grounds for abortion in any legislation.
Posters, which were put up outside Health Minister James Reilly's local church in Rush, Co Dublin, show a picture of a foetus in its mother's womb and say: "James Reilly: Don't give her the death sentence. STOP abortion."
But there is nothing to identify who posted the images yesterday morning.
