Posing like old-style gangsters

IT'S like a scene from an old-style gangster film.

With a replica gun slung over his shoulder, John Dundon (seated) has his gaze firmly fixed on the camera.

The location is unknown but the photograph is professionally prepared, with John (29) wearing a dickie-bow, waistcoat, hat and cuff-linked shirt. He is clutching a cigar while an unidentified young boy alongside him clasps two imitation guns.

John looks every inch the gangster -- and has 38 previous convictions to go with the photo, including theft, burglary, criminal damage, possession of stolen property and a threat to kill or cause serious harm. Standing behind John is Nathan Killeen. The Special Criminal Court heard that Killeen was beaten up by Gareth Collins -- a brother of April -- in Limerick prison on September 30, 2010.

This prison fight sparked the death threats by the two Dundon brothers against April and her two brothers.
