Watch: Remember that time Enda Kenny dad-danced, or played air guitar at Bruce Springsteen?

Now that he's stepping aside as leader of Fine Gael, perhaps a career in rock and roll will beckon for Enda Kenny.

After leading the country for more than six years the Mayo man is bound to need to let his hair down and blow off some steam.

Who can forget the footage that emerged last year when Enda attended a Bruce Springsteen gig at Croke Park with his wife Fionnuala?

He could be seen in the crowd singing along to The Boss' hits, enthusiastically playing air guitar, waving at onlookers and indulging in a spot of dad dancing.

Mr Kenny later admitted to Independent.ie that he knows he's not the best dancer in the world but said he should be able to enjoy himself at rock concerts too.

He said: "When I see some of the stuff that has been written, I wonder whether I am supposed to sit there with my arms folded in a kind of a, just a look on the face.

"I am a big believer in Springsteen, I like his social comment, I like the commitment he puts into his work. I just think he is really a world-class operator.

"I enjoy his concerts and OK, maybe - I can't sing, I can't dance, I can't play the guitar but I am going to go a long way if I keep following Springsteen."

Although Enda may not be confident in his dancing abilities, that didn't stop him getting into the swing of things at Cruinniú na Cásca last month.

The Taoiseach enjoyed a jig with well-wishers to traditional tunes at the cultural event in Dublin's St Stephen's Green.
