Things don't stack up as 'Man of the People' Leo takes on the dishwasher
You can tell the expert by the risks they are not willing to take. The Taoiseach's latest foray into self-promotion sees him move up with undue confidence from the amateur level of novelty socks to regular video posts and now to the advanced category of 'Man of the People'. This is a bold move, not for the faint-hearted.
Leo Varadkar's latest Facebook post sees him standing before the dishwasher in his department under the caption: "No one gets away without packing the dishwasher around here."
Or as most people say, stacking the dishwasher. But here, Mr Varadkar's expertise fails him.
By the way he gingerly holds the teaspoon, poised uncertainly before a clumsy jumble of dishes, it seemed likely that this was merely a one-off encounter with a piece of kitchen equipment, which happens to have been captured for posterity by a third party and posted on Facebook like a baby's first step.
Derision and scoffing have inevitably followed.
Leo, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
