Workers in Leinster House will be surveyed on their experiences of bullying or sexual harassment as part of a landmark survey.

The Oireachtas Women's Caucus has been pushing for the survey to be done independently and a company has now been appointed to carry it out next year.

A similar survey in Westminster found one in five people had experienced sexual harassment in the workplace.

Fine Gael TD Marcella Corcoran Kennedy said: "We need to ensure that Leinster House, like any other workplace, is a place where everyone is treated with dignity."
