How the FG leadership results will unfold today
Fine Gael TDs, senators and MEPs will gather in Leinster House from 8am today where they can cast the final votes in the leadership contest.
They have until noon before the parliamentary party ballot box will be sealed and brought to the Mansion House on Dawson Street.
Boxes from constituencies all around the country will also be brought here.
It is expected the counting in the Round Room will begin around 2pm under the supervision of the National Returning Officer, Gerry O'Connell, who is chairman of the Fine Gael Executive Council.
Votes from the membership, which account for 25pc of the total electorate, will be sorted first, followed by the votes from Fine Gael's 232 councillors who make up 10pc.
Finally the result of the parliamentary party (65pc) vote will be announced.
No definitive timeline has been set but it is anticipated that a final result should be confirmed by 6pm at the latest.
The winner will automatically take over from Enda Kenny as the leader of Fine Gael but must wait until Tuesday, June 13, before being elected Taoiseach.
