Even the dogs on the street are campaigning for a Yes vote - or at least, these canines are.

Hundreds of dogs and their owners gathered on Dublin's Sandymount Strand yesterday to take part in a 'Hounds for Love' walk in support of marriage equality.

Comedian Tara Flynn brought her 10-year-old cocker Spaniel, Oscar.

"I suspect Oscar is gay," Flynn said. "Because he has fantastic hair and likes going to Panti Bar.

"He is very much pro-equality. His only prejudice is against cats."

"Pansexual" Yorkshire Terrier Mario (2) from Donnybrook also attended.

"This event represents what the Yes Campaign is all about," Mario's minder Arthur McKey explained. "It's about positivity, inclusion and connecting with each other".
