FF 'won't carve up constituencies' for electoral gain
FIANNA Fail's European election candidates insist they will not be "carving up" their constituencies to suit their running mates.
In the past, the party has restricted candidates from canvassing in particular counties as part of the overall election strategy.
However, a number of candidates claimed that such an approach was not being pursued in May's elections.
Sitting MEP Pat 'The Cope' Gallagher said he intended to canvass throughout the Midlands and North Leinster, where running mate and party Senator Thomas Byrne is based.
Similarly, the party's Ireland South candidate, Kieran Hartley said he would be targeting Cork, the stronghold of sitting MEP Brian Crowley.
