Coveney keen to stay in Agriculture
AGRICULTURE Minister Simon Coveney has urged Taoiseach Enda Kenny to allow him to remain in his portfolio in any cabinet reshuffle.
The Cork TD's comments came just 72 hours after Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore signalled his desire to remain in the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Coveney said he believed he still had work to do in the Department of Agriculture and Food, with agri-food generated exports and employment continuing to surge. "I love my job ... I see my department as a main economic ministry in Ireland and part of our recovery process," he said.
