The first night of hustings for the Fine Gael Leadership Election takes place at the Red Cow Hotel in Dublin from 8pm on Thursday.

Other hustings will take place on subsequent nights in Carlow, Ballinasloe and Cork - but if Simon Coveney has any hope of reeling in runaway leader Leo Varadkar, surely he needs to come up with a major victory tonight.

Political correspondent Cormac McQuinn will bring you through the action and (maybe?) the mudslinging at the Red Cow.
