Polish man found dead in bedroom

GARDAI are investigating the cause of death of a Polish man in west Cork, writes Niall O'Connor.

The 43-year-old was discovered by his brother shortly before 9pm on Tuesday at a house on Castle Street, Dunmanway, Co Cork. He found the body in an upstairs bedroom.

Gardai were called to the scene and sealed off the property as they carried out their enquiries. They interviewed a number of other people, all foreign nationals, who lived in the house with the dead man.

Gardai, who are awaiting the results of a post-mortem, have have said they initially treated the death as suspicious but are now keeping an open mind regarding the cause of death.
