'Please respect our crews' - Dublin Fire Brigade 'attacked' while attending bonfire call

The Dublin Fire Brigade has issued a stark warning after a fire engine was damaged.

"Unfortunately one of our fire engines came under attack whilst approaching a bonfire in the East Wall area.

"The unit was taken out of service for a period of time while it was repaired or replaced."

Dublin Fire Brigade said that fortunately no firefighters were injured in the attack but asked people to "respect" their crews.
