This lucky pooch was returned to safety after getting stuck on a cliff.
The Coast Guard was called out to rescue to dog, which had got itself trapped on cliffs at Balscadden Beach in Howth.
The dog was located four meters (13 feet) above the beach and had become trapped after exploring.
“Following attempts to rescue him by the public the Coast Guard were called,” said a spokesman.
“The team used a ladder to get to the dog and brought him back to the safety of the beach.
“The dog was in good form and returned to his owner.”
