Pedestrian taken to hospital after collision with bus on busy street

A MIDDLE-AGED man has been brought to hospital after being involved in a collision with a bus.

The bus was turning left from Merrion Square on to Baggot Street in Dublin, when the pedestrian sustained injuries.

The private coach – which had a large number of passengers on board – immediately stopped and the emergency services were called.

One unit of fire brigade attended the scene and an ambulance brought the man to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardai remain at the scene and there are no reported traffic delays in the area.
