Patients and staff at hospital evacuated due to fire

Patients and staff were evacuated from Blackrock Clinic in Dublin this evening after a fire on the fifth floor of the building.

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene at approximately 7:35pm and the fire was under control within twenty minutes.

After which, patients and staff were able to return to the building.

According to a spokesperson from the Dublin Fire Brigade, it was an electrical fire.

Its exact cause is being investigated.

There were no injuries.
